Clemens Fischer is a German artist born in New Jersey, USA.
2019 he graduated from the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin and then obtained a Master's degree in Photography at the ECAL/Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne in 2022. He currently studies Art and Media at the Unversität der Künste Berlin.
Through an experimental approach, he questions the current creation and consumption of images by creating automata which use various analogical devices. Clemens Fischer sidesteps the digital medium by taking a stance that gives pride of place to chance, humour and surprise.
