Residency at La Becque Switzerland, 2026
„The work treats water not only as a material, but also as a means of control. Water is collected until a float closes an electrical contact and activates a pump and an underwater camera. The water is then released through a nozzle, driving a water wheel and rotating the camera through a gearbox.
While the vessel is emptied, the camera records the water and stones surrounding the apparatus. The installation connects water flow, mechanical movement, electrical switching, and image production in a closed loop. Rather than representing the lake from outside, the work allows the lake to take part in producing its own images.“
